  My review only reflects my experience with their Mini service department. I'm sure the sales department is perfectly fine. This is a long review, so my advice in short is that you should only bring your Mini to be serviced here if you have another car/means of transportation, don't mind having it sit in their service department for a long time, and your Mini is under warranty. After sitting in a driveway for a few weeks, my Mini Countryman started to have some electrical issues. It was having trouble starting and was shutting off completely after about two minutes. I had it towed to a local mechanic that diagnosed it as a faulty alternator that needed to be replaced. They quoted the job for $1400 and suggested to check if it was still under warranty. I was delighted to hear that it was and I had it towed to Mini of Southampton as soon as I found out. Dropping it off was not a problem. They said they were a bit short staffed but they'd work on it as quickly as possible and would stay in touch. I was relieved because I was going on a road trip the next week and they would be able to fix it in time. Unfortunately, this is when the problems started. The service department was almost impossible to get a hold of and whenever I did get a hold of them, they would provide an excuse as to why it wasn't looked at yet or worked on. From what they've said, it sounds as though they only have one Mini-specific mechanic that works there part time and isn't there every workday. Two days before I picked up my car, I called in the morning and was relieved to hear that the new alternator would be installed later in the day. The next day, I managed to get a hold of them again and the news wasn't so great. They said that they replaced the alternator, but now the air conditioning wasn't working. They went on to explain that the fans were blowing but the AC was only turning on for a brief moment. They couldn't pinpoint exactly what was wrong with it, but assumed that there was a blockage somewhere in the AC system after getting high pressures whenever they would gauge it. They went on to say that it was probably broken before it was dropped off, which I understand but the AC was working perfectly before the alternator kicked the bucket. I urged them to fix it as soon as possible, but would pick it up the next day no matter what. I wound up picking it up without working AC. The car is safe, driveable, and was covered under warranty, but the AC doesn't work at all, not even for a brief moment. Obviously, this was distressing on an 87 degree afternoon in July before embarking on a week-long road trip. The reason why I'm giving them two stars is because they managed to fix the initial problem in a somewhat reasonable timeframe and I sympathize with their situation of being short staffed in the Hamptons in the middle of the summer. To sum it up, don't do what I did and bring your Mini here if you need significant work done on it in a time crunch. It'll be shelved and will wait behind 30 other Mini Coopers. I'm certainly regretting my decision.
